Important Things Candidates Should Remember

There are a few rules in the notification that are easy to overlook.

1. Don't apply for multiple Officer posts

A candidate can apply for only one Officer post—Scale I, Scale II or Scale III. Multiple applications in the Officers' cadre can lead to rejection.

2. Fill the category carefully

Candidates should select their category carefully while applying. The final result will be processed according to the details in the final/modified application, subject to applicable Government guidelines.

3. Indicative vacancies are not guaranteed vacancies

The vacancy figures mentioned in the notification are indicative. Final provisional allotment depends on the actual vacancies reported by the RRBs.

4. Keep your documents genuine

The participating RRBs can verify educational, caste, disability, experience and other certificates with the issuing authorities. Incorrect or fraudulent documents can result in cancellation of candidature and further action.

5. Don't wait until the last day

IBPS specifically advises candidates to complete the application process well before the closing date to avoid technical problems or website congestion.
