Only the Engineering streams and their specified equivalent streams mentioned in the notification are eligible.

Qualification

Candidates must fulfil the following conditions:

• Must be an unmarried male Engineering Graduate.
• Must have a BE/B.Tech degree in one of the notified Engineering streams.
• M.Sc Computer Science candidates are also eligible for the notified Computer Science stream.
• The Engineering degree must be from a recognized Indian university/institution as specified in the notification.
• Candidates who have completed their Engineering degree from a foreign country are not eligible.

Final Year Students

Final year Engineering students can also apply if they fulfil the conditions given in the notification.

• They must submit proof of passing the Engineering Degree Examination and all semester/year marksheets by 01 July 2027.
• Their final cumulative percentage must meet the approved cut-off.
• Candidates whose final-year/semester result will be declared after 01 July 2027 are not eligible.

Important Qualification Note

The Engineering stream mentioned in the online application must exactly match the stream mentioned on the candidate's degree certificate/marksheet. Any mismatch can lead to cancellation of candidature.

Selection Process

The selection process consists of the following stages:

1. Shortlisting of Applications

• Applications will be shortlisted based on the vacancy-to-call-up ratio for each Engineering stream.
• Stream-wise cut-offs will be applied based on the candidate's cumulative percentage.
• Final-year students can be provisionally shortlisted subject to the prescribed conditions.

2. SSB Interview

Shortlisted candidates will be called for the Services Selection Board (SSB) Interview.

The SSB selection has two stages:

• Stage 1
• Stage 2

Candidates who fail Stage 1 will be returned on the same day. The SSB interview can continue for a maximum of five days.

3. Medical Examination

Candidates recommended after Stage 2 of the SSB will undergo a Medical Examination.

4. Final Merit and Joining

Candidates who are recommended by SSB and declared medically fit will receive joining letters according to their merit, available vacancies and eligibility.

5. Permanent Commission

After successful completion of training, candidates will be granted Permanent Commission in the Indian Army in the rank of Lieutenant.

Step 3: Register

Click on Registration and complete the registration process.

Candidates who are already registered on the website do not need to register again.

Step 4: Select TGC

After registration:

• Click Apply Online from the Dashboard.
• Open Officers Selection – Eligibility.
• Select Technical Graduate Course.
• Click Apply.

Step 5: Fill Application Form

Enter the required:

• Personal information
• Communication details
• Educational details
• Previous SSB details

Save the information after completing each section.

Step 6: Check and Submit

Check all information carefully on the Summary of your Information page and submit the application.

Step 7: Save Application Form

Candidates must take two copies of the application form containing the Roll Number after the final closure of the online application.
