The State Bank of India (SBI) has released a recruitment notification for Trade Finance Officer – IBG posts under the Specialist Cadre Officer category. The recruitment is being conducted on a regular basis for two grades: JMGS-I and MMGS-II.

Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for either grade must meet the required educational and certification criteria.

Mandatory Qualification

  • Graduation in any discipline from a Government-recognized University or Institution.
  • Certification in Forex Operations from IIBF.
  • The IIBF certificate must be dated on or before 31 July 2026.

Preferred Certifications

Candidates having any of the following certifications may have an advantage:

Experience Required

JMGS-I

Candidates must have at least 1 year of post-qualification experience in Trade Finance processing and operations in an Officer/Official role in a Scheduled Commercial Bank.

MMGS-II

Candidates must have at least 3 years of post-qualification experience in Trade Finance processing in an Officer/Official role in a Scheduled Commercial Bank.

SBI Trade Finance Officer Job Profile

The role is divided into Maker and Checker responsibilities.

JMGS-I – Maker Role

The officer will generally be responsible for:

  • Entering Trade Finance transactions into banking systems

MMGS-II – Checker Role
